Chest & Back 10/7
Whats up guys?! I hope you all had a great weekend.I myself got to kick the first weekend of October off with lots of fall things and enjoyed every minute of it lol. Definitely entering some of my favorite months of the year! So I had a super productive start to the week yesterday. Last nights training session was unbelievably on point!! Chest and back was in order for the day with an emphasis on chest. I really had wanted to hit the flat bench yesterday but unfortunately was not able to do so because #InternationalChestDayProblems lol. So I had...
Chest&Back 10/3
Yesterday’s session was a little bitter sweet for me. I have a slight pain in my left hamstring from last week that’s still bothering me. Luckily, I don’t believe it to be anything serious considering how heavy I was able to go yesterday on deadlifts. I probably should have skipped the movement all together but I just couldn’t help myself being it is one of my favorites.I was some what smart considering I used the hex bar rather than a straight bar to perform my deads. The hex bar is a great tool for those of you that may have...
Shoulders & Arms 9/30
Well yesterday’s workout definitely has me in a good mood! Little rough day on Sunday, I think I tweaked my left hamstring a little bit last week while doing vertical leg presses and I couldn’t really train legs as hard as I wanted to over the weekend because of it. Having said that, yesterday’s session definitely made up for it!!! Shoulders and arms were in order and I came out VERY strong off the bat! Last week I took 165lbs for a triple on my standing military presses. Last night I managed to squeeze out not one but TWO more...
Shoulders & Arms 9/25
So this week started off a little rough in the gym. I had a failed attempt to set a new PR for myself on bench this past Monday. I'm confident the next time I take a crack at it I'll get the job done! I don't train for one rep maxs anyway, I just enjoy testing my strength from time to time on my main lifts. It's basically just a friendly competition with myself! I’ll always be “bodybuilder” at heart and my training style will always reflect that. Its about six weeks since I switched up my training. I really look...
Taking an L in the gym
I talk about this quite frequently, mainly because I like being as open and honest about my experiences as possible. Its common for many people in today's world to simply share the "highlights" of their life, never really exposing what they struggle with.. I strive to take the opposite approach, Especially with regard to my efforts in the gym. So training yesterday consisted of chest and back for me, with a focus on chest. Its been a few weeks since I tested out my strength on the bench so I decided to give it a go. This exercise has ALWAYS...
