Back 12/14
Hey guys! What's going on? I hope you all are enjoying your day! I mean how could you not? We are officially ten days away from.. Christmas!!! I know this year has not been the easiest for any of us, BUT I hope you are all able to enjoy your holiday season with your families regardless of what you may celebrate. As odd as this year may have been there are still so many things to be thankful for.
So yesterdays training was a little different than normal. As you can tell, I used a lot more cable exercises than I normally would mainly because my legs were so fried from Sundays workout. I knew if I tried any sort of deadlift or heavy row I would have zero drive in my lower body and rather than try to do it anyway I decided to simply stick to more isolated and uni-lateral exercises instead. I do honestly feel these types of workout are necessary.
As much as I like to push myself as hard as I can every time I train, hitting the gym full force every single day can at times be counter productive. This workout consisted of higher reps for the most part and truth be told I had an amazing pump by the time I was done!
I encourage you to try it out and let me know what you thought! If you do have any questions whatsoever just send me an email and I'll be happy to help: confessoreconditioning@gmail.com
1) Seated underhand cable pullover 15/15/12
(You will want to set up a bench so that your facing away from the cable. This basically emulates an old school lat pullover machine)
2) Meadows row 15/15/12/12
3) Chest supported dual handle pulldown 15/15/15/15
(Leaning on an incline bench, you'll want to grab the handles with your palms facing the floor. As you pull down you will internally rotate your hands and pull the handles a part as best you can at the bottom of each rep!)
4) Seated underhand cable row 20/20/20/20
5) Body weight pulls up 3 sets to failure (I was getting between 6-8 reps at this point)
